A Surprise Email!

A few days ago I received an email from a lady called Doris from nearby Hastings. She had been very busy making some wonderful little teddies in a range of colours from my Rilakkuma pattern, and was also kind enough to send me a photograph.

I think they are gorgeous and I am so pleased that my pattern came out so well for someone else. Apparently a couple more are in the works, in some football team colours, and I will add pictures of those as and when I get them.

Here are the football team coloured teddies - Liverpool and Brighton - so cute!

My name is Liz Henwood and I am a keen crocheter from Brighton (on the South Coast of the UK). I make amigurumi (tiny soft toys) and other small items such as flower brooches, mug cosys and phone covers. I only use second-hand or scrap yarn (or unravelled hideous jumpers) bought from charity shops, car boot sales etc. The colour, texture and quantity of the yarn I find dictates what I create so it can be rather random, which adds to the fun.

When not crocheting I am a pixel artist for the Brighton based indie game studio Sock Thuggery. I am also obsessed with mice, and have been caring for assorted rescued pet mice for many years.
